Speaking publicly about homosexuality would be punishable by a fine in Lithuania!

in: www.change.org

Lithuania takes another step backward on human rights on Thursday, December 16, 2010. To this day, those who speak publicly on homosexuality in the country is punishable by a fine of up to 2,900 euros (about U.S. $ 3.867). This can happen if passed a law criminalizing homosexuality across the country.

Moreover, it is prohibited to participate in events like the parade, organize campaigns on safe sex or organize a gay film festival. Amnesty International, in its Spanish site, released a petition to pressure the authorities of the country against this nonsense. Not hesitate. Join by clicking here.

Demonstrate your outrage to Lithuania by signing this petition and the petition on the website of Amnesty International.

Tell Lithuania that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and harms the dignity of human beings. Tell them to show some respect, to stop this absurd law and embrace diversity.

Tell Lithuania that is okay to be gay!
